Vesper purple

iKon Fabricvesper/fa1/vio

Vesper Purple pairs a softly washed lilac ground with branching botanical forms in layered purple tones. The effect is painterly and calm, with just enough contrast to give the motif depth.

About this fabric

This Vesper colourway is woven in 82% viscose and 18% linen, giving the fabric a smooth, softly textured handle that reads well in a draped setting. The visible surface has a lightly striated, linen-like character, while the design itself shows twisting stems and leaf shapes in cool violet, plum and mauve shades. At 368gsm and 136cm usable width, it is a substantial decorative textile suited to curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The repeat is 45.3cm horizontally and 58.5cm vertically, which supports the flowing, tree-like pattern seen across the image. Dry clean only and do not iron.

How to use it

Use it where you want colour without harshness: the muted lilac ground and violet branches sit beautifully with pale timber, brushed metal and soft neutral upholstery. It would bring a refined, slightly moody note to bedroom curtains or tailored Roman blinds.

The airy lilac ground and painterly purple branches suit elegant curtains or statement blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
