Varys yellow

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while keeping a relaxed hand. The usable width is 138cm, with a 46cm horizontal repeat and 48.5cm vertical repeat, so the large floral motifs can be planned carefully across a made-to-measure project. In this yellow colourway, the petals and seed heads lean towards warm ochre and antique gold, offset by smoky greys and cool violet leaves on an ecru base. The palette feels more mellow than sunny, which gives the design a refined, slightly vintage richness. Dry clean only; cool iron.

This muted yellow works well in rooms with natural wood, pale paint and brushed brass, where its golden notes can echo the warmth without overpowering the space. It is especially effective as full-length curtains or Roman blinds where the large-scale florals can be shown off.
