About this colour

This shade sits in the middle of warm and cool, with the beige side slightly ahead, so it feels calm rather than chalky. On a wall, #C3BAB3 lifts enough to keep a room open, but it still absorbs light gently and never turns bright. In a north-facing room it can lean a little greyer and more reserved, bringing out its cooler side. In south-facing light the warmth comes forward, and the colour looks softer and more enveloping. It sits well beside natural oak, smoked timber, pale limestone, and upholstered pieces in taupe, stone, olive, or muted terracotta.

How to use it
