About this colour

This shade reads as a light warm beige with a clear hint of ivory, so it lifts a room while still feeling settled. Its #F1E9D6 value gives it enough depth to hold its own beside stronger colours, yet it stays gentle on the wall. In north-facing light it can turn a little cooler and more muted, reading as a soft oatmeal neutral; in south-facing light the warmth comes forward and it feels more buttery and inviting. It sits well beside pale oak, walnut, faded linens and upholstery in stone, camel or muted green, and it works equally well on woodwork where a softer contrast is wanted. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion or True Matt, it keeps the same calm tone across walls and joinery.

How to use it

Parchment suits sitting rooms, bedrooms and hallways where you want a light backdrop that is not stark white. It pairs neatly with natural woodwork, upholstered pieces in warm neutrals, and curtains in sage, taupe or indigo.
