Bridget Dalmatian

Chiaroscuro Fabric

Bridget Dalmatian brings a sharp black-and-white contrast to a densely patterned cushion. Its small, irregular motif gives the surface a lively, woven character rather than a perfectly uniform check.

About this fabric

The design is made up of closely spaced black marks on an ivory-white ground, forming an irregular houndstooth-like repeat across the cushion. Fine visible threads soften the contrast slightly, allowing the dark pattern to break up at the edges instead of reading as a flat print. The compact repeat creates a busy, energetic surface with strong visual definition. In this monochrome colourway, the fabric has a smart graphic quality that suits tailored upholstery and statement cushions.

How to use it

Pair the black-and-white weave with warm white upholstery, charcoal accents or natural timber to balance its crisp contrast. It works especially well as a graphic cushion or on a small occasional seat where the small-scale pattern remains clearly visible.

Use this crisp monochrome weave on occasional chairs, footstools or cushions to introduce a graphic accent without adding colour.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
