About this fabric

The dense surface combines cloudy tonal variation with delicate etched-looking lines, creating texture without a repeating motif. At 730gsm, Dawson Ocean has a substantial handle suited to upholstery rather than lightweight drapery. The fabric has a 140 cm useable width and a 25 m standard length for practical covering requirements. Its pattern repeat is 0 cm vertically and horizontally, so the textured surface can be positioned without matching a design.

How to use it

Use Dawson Ocean on a statement armchair, sofa or footstool where its cool blue-green depth can anchor a room. Pair it with pale neutrals or warm timber to balance the fabric’s slightly smoky, mottled tone.

A weighty ocean-teal upholstery cloth that brings cool, softly mottled texture to seating and occasional pieces.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dawson Ocean without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
