About this fabric

The pewter ground shifts gently between grey and brown, while delicate thread-like marks form an understated network of irregular, almost etched shapes. At 730 gsm, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstery, with a 140 cm usable width. The pattern repeat is 0 cm vertically and horizontally, so the surface reads as an all-over texture rather than a regularly positioned motif. Each standard length measures 25 m.

How to use it

Use Dawson Pewter on a sofa, occasional chair or headboard where its cool taupe depth can soften darker timber and complement charcoal, stone and brushed metal accents. Its low-contrast linear texture also works well alongside plain grey or warm ivory textiles.

A weighty pewter taupe upholstery cloth with subtle tonal linear texture and a softly weathered finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
