About this fabric

The dense surface is layered with irregular, thread-like lines that create an abstract all-over texture rather than a defined motif. In this Ink colourway, the dark blue base is softened by charcoal-grey variation, while the raised-looking marks catch the light subtly across the cloth. At 730 gsm and 140 cm usable width, it has a substantial presence suited to upholstery. With a 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, the texture can be positioned without a set pattern match, and the standard length is 25 m.

How to use it

Use Dawson Ink on a tailored sofa, armchair or dining seat where its cool blue-charcoal depth can anchor pale stone, soft grey and warm timber tones. The low-contrast linear texture adds interest without competing with strongly patterned cushions or artwork.

A substantial ink-toned textile with a quiet, distressed linear texture for tailored upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dawson Ink without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
