About this fabric

The fabric shows repeating V-shaped chevrons in charcoal grey, softened by fine pale threads that keep the overall effect from feeling stark or black. At 456gsm, it has the substantial visual and physical presence expected of a heavy upholstery textile. The pattern measures 1.6cm vertically and 4.5cm horizontally, producing a compact, closely spaced rhythm across the 137cm usable width. Each standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use Gravity Charcoal on a tailored sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard where its cool grey tone can sharpen warmer neutral schemes. Pair it with pale stone, putty and timber finishes to highlight the charcoal geometry without making the room feel severe.

The cool charcoal-and-greige contrast gives upholstered seating a neat, graphic finish.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Gravity Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
