About this fabric
The design is formed from broken vertical marks and irregular washes, with deeper denim and cobalt passages set against pale grey, blue-white and muted teal accents. At 358 gsm, the fabric has a substantial woven presence that makes it particularly well suited to upholstery. The 137 cm usable width is paired with a 69 cm vertical pattern repeat and 34.5 cm horizontal repeat, allowing the directional composition to remain a clear feature on a chair, headboard or sofa. The cool, slightly weathered colour balance gives Umbra Denim a more atmospheric and mineral character than a plain navy textile.
How to use it
Use Umbra Denim on a statement armchair, ottoman or upholstered headboard, where its vertical blue streaks can be read up close. Balance the cool denim tone with warm oak, ivory boucle or soft grey plains rather than introducing another strong blue pattern.
Use the cool denim ground with pale timber, soft grey upholstery and brushed metal accents for a crisp, layered scheme.
