About this fabric

The 8.5 cm vertical and horizontal repeats form evenly spaced checks, with darker charcoal lines layered over taupe and ivory grounds. Subtle tonal variation within the weave gives the grey areas a softened, lightly brushed appearance instead of a flat black finish. At 218 gsm, this is a versatile mid-weight textile for upholstery or drapery, with a 137 cm usable width. The standard 40 m length makes it practical for coordinating larger interior schemes.

How to use it

Use Hatfield Charcoal on a reading chair, bench or relaxed curtain where its cool charcoal lines can sharpen warm ivory walls and taupe upholstery. Layer it with oatmeal, weathered wood and deep brown accents to bring out the check’s quiet country-house character.
