About this fabric

This Baptista fabric combines 57% viscose and 43% silk, giving the floral design a smooth, refined handle and a gentle light-catching finish. The large repeat of approximately V 57cm by H 64cm supports the open, scrolling layout of poppy heads, trailing stems and small butterflies. In this colourway the background reads as a cool, misty silver rather than a stark grey, which makes the raspberry-pink petals and muted blue leaves feel crisp and decorative. At 128cm wide, it is well suited to full-length curtains and statement decorative schemes where the pattern can breathe.

How to use it

Use Oriental Poppy Silver in a room that needs pattern without heaviness; the cool silver ground keeps the palette fresh while the pink blooms add warmth. It works especially well with pale painted woodwork, polished timber and soft neutral upholstery.

A polished floral silk-viscose with a cool ground that lets the pink blooms stand out beautifully.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
