Durlston Forest Green

Hailsham FabricF4869-03

Durlston Forest Green pairs a softly painted woodland motif with a creamy ground, giving the design a fresh but settled look. The repeating branches and birds read in gentle forest tones rather than a harsh dark green.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this Hailsham fabric has a natural, slightly dry handle that suits the relaxed brushwork of the design. The repeat is large, at approximately V 87cm and H 67cm, so the trailing branches, birds and foliage have room to unfold across the width. The forest green accents are softened with sage and olive notes, while the background stays light and airy for a calm overall effect. With a width of approximately 134cm and no performance finish noted, it is best considered for elegant curtains and other soft furnishings where its painterly detail can be seen.

How to use it

Use this colourway in a sitting room or bedroom where the muted green branches can sit against warm white paint and pale timber. It works especially well with antique wood and quiet botanical accessories, keeping the scheme tailored but not heavy.

Pair with chalky neutrals and aged brass to let the leafy green motif feel quietly refined.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Durlston Forest Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
