About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this Hailsham fabric has a generous repeat of approximately V 65cm and H 45cm, giving the scrolling damask plenty of room to read clearly across the cloth. The swatch shows a soft old blue ornament set against an ivory ground, with muted taupe and pale sage accents that keep the pattern understated. Its linen surface gives the design a lightly textured, relaxed finish rather than a glossy sheen. At approximately 134cm wide, it is a practical furnishing cloth for elegant interiors where pattern is wanted without harsh contrast.

How to use it

The cool, washed blue tones suit pale timber, chalky paint colours and quiet silvered finishes. Use it for curtains, cushions or upholstered pieces in a room that needs a formal pattern softened by linen texture.

Use with pale woods and washed neutrals to let the faded blue ornament stay elegant and quiet.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
