Brush Clay

Hillside FabricL9366-01

Brush Clay shows a broad, painterly wave pattern with a calm clay-beige ground and pale ivory brushed bands. The finish feels softly textured and slightly striated, giving the design movement without sharp contrast.

About this fabric

From Larsen's Hillside collection, Brush Clay is a fabric with a repeat of approximately V 40cm and H 69cm and a width of approximately 138cm. Its 82% cotton and 18% polyester composition gives the cloth a natural, slightly matte look with a little structure in the weave. Visually, the colourway pairs a warm mushroom-clay base with creamy off-white sweeps, so the pattern reads gentle and earthy rather than stark. The brushstroke edges are visibly feathered and layered, which adds depth and makes the large repeat feel relaxed across the surface. With no performance features noted and fire code √BM, it suits considered interior schemes where tone and texture matter as much as pattern.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a sofa or armchair to bring a soft, grounded warmth to neutral rooms. It also works well as full-length drapery where the pale brush marks can catch the light and keep the fabric feeling airy.

A softly tonal statement for tailored upholstery or relaxed drapes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Brush Clay without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
