Whistler Stone

Idaho FabricL9318-02

Whistler Stone is a softly mottled stone beige with a calm, pebble-like surface and a muted matte finish. Its tiny looped texture gives the cloth a gentle depth rather than a flat solid colour.

About this fabric

Whistler Stone from Larsen’s Idaho collection is a 142cm-wide fabric with no visible repeat, making its textured surface read as an even, continuous field of colour. The composition combines 29% linen, 21% polyester, 21% viscose, 15% cotton and 14% wool, which helps explain the fabric’s dry, woolly hand and softly irregular appearance. In this colourway, the tone sits between warm beige and pale stone, with a subtle grey cast that keeps it from feeling yellow or creamy. The looped weave catches light lightly across the face, creating a restrained, organic texture suited to relaxed interiors.

How to use it

Use Whistler Stone where you want a quiet neutral with more tactility than a plain weave: it works especially well on a sofa, armchair or banquette. Its muted stone-beige tone pairs neatly with oak, chalky whites, putty greys and natural wool accents.

A soft, tactile neutral that brings calm texture to easygoing upholstery schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
