Highland Saffron

Idaho FabricL9402-05

Highland Saffron shows a small, basket-like weave in a warm saffron gold, with creamy slubs catching the light across the surface. The overall effect is textured and gently variegated rather than flat or shiny.

About this fabric

This Highland Saffron colourway from Larsen’s Idaho collection is a fabric with a tactile woven character and a neat, close repeat of approximately V 1cm / H 1cm. The blend of 46% cotton, 40% wool, 7% acrylic, 6% polyester and 1% polyamide gives the cloth its dry, slightly tailored handle and its softly mottled finish. At approximately 143cm wide, it is a practical width for upholstered pieces, and the √BM fire code supports use where specified. The saffron tone reads as a muted golden ochre with lighter cream highlights, so the texture feels warm without becoming brash.

How to use it

Use it on compact armchairs, dining seats or a headboard where the fine woven texture can be seen up close. It pairs especially well with oak, walnut and stone-toned neutrals, which let the warm gold read as refined rather than loud.

A warm, textural gold that brings a tailored lift to upholstery and cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
