About this fabric

Woven in 53% Silk and 47% Viscose, this fabric has the lustre and softness you would expect from a silk-rich cloth, while the 130cm approx width makes it practical for wider drops. The repeat is V 58cm / H 130cm approx, and the design reads as a broad vertical stripe broken by climbing stems and hanging floral sprays. In this colourway the pale blue bands feel airy and luminous rather than strong, so the pattern stays delicate even across the larger repeat. The cream ground and muted sage foliage keep the look fresh and tailored, while the embroidered-style blue blossoms add a more decorative, country-house note.

How to use it

Use it for curtains, interlined drapes or polished blinds where the soft blue stripe can add height without overpowering the room. It pairs especially well with pale painted woods, chalky neutrals and other cool blue textiles.

Fresh, elegant stripes with a gentle silk sheen suit tailored curtains and refined blinds.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Grayshott Silk Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
