About this fabric

Woven in a 41% Cotton, 36% Linen, 19% Viscose, 4% Polyester mix, this fabric has the natural tactility and subtle structure you would expect from a cotton-linen blend, with enough viscose to soften the handle. The design repeats in vertical stripes at approx. 20cm by 46cm, creating a regular, rhythmic pattern that reads clearly across a larger surface. In this colourway, the red is softened toward coral rather than a harsh primary tone, so it feels warmer and more relaxed against the mustard yellow ground and pale cream accents. At approx. 138cm wide and with no performance features noted, it is a versatile decorative cloth suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for reference.

How to use it

Use Capel Red to bring colour and pattern to a pair of accent chairs, a blind, or relaxed curtains where the coral-red stripe can sit against timber, oat, or chalky neutrals. The warm yellow ground makes it especially effective in rooms that need a cheerful lift without tipping into overly vivid red.

Pair its warm coral red with ivory or soft mustard for a lively, tailored interior.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
