About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric is composed of 56% Silk and 44% Cotton, giving Lavelle Old Blue a refined handle and a lightly textured, fabric-led appearance. The weave is closely worked and horizontally striated, with tiny irregular slubs that add character without introducing a formal pattern. In this colourway the blue is muted into a greyed, slightly weathered tone, so it feels cooler and less saturated than a clean denim or clear sky blue. With a width of approx. 140cm and a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx., it is straightforward to cut and use across larger or smaller schemes. The Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire code are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Old Blue where you want colour that stays understated: it pairs well with pale timber, chalky whites, and brushed metals. On upholstery it will feel crisp and tailored; as drapery it gives a softly tailored, serene finish.
