Albury Old Blue pairs a pale, airy ground with tall vertical bands of softened blue-grey geometric pattern. The effect is light and understated, with the motif reading clearly without feeling heavy.

About this fabric

This colourway from the Liliana Sheers collection is woven in 71% linen, 25% viscose and 4% polyester, giving the fabric a crisp, lightly slubbed sheer handle. The design runs in elongated vertical stripes with stepped and diamond-like motifs, and the 128cm width suits full-length curtain drops. In Albury Old Blue, the pattern sits in muted blue-grey with a chalky, weathered cast that feels cooler and more relaxed than a brighter blue. The sheer ground keeps the look translucent, so the motifs appear softly brushed rather than sharply printed. Its approximate V 29cm / H 31cm repeat gives the pattern a measured, architectural rhythm.

How to use it

Use it as a quiet window dressing in rooms with pale woods, painted joinery or washed linen upholstery. The cool old-blue detailing works especially well where you want pattern without losing daylight.

Best for tailored curtains where the softly weathered blue adds a calm, elegant finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
