Genista Blue

Medora FabricF4789-03

Genista Blue presents as a softly layered stripe, with slate blue bands alternating against pale natural ground. The woven surface gives the design a gently textural, slightly artisan look.

About this fabric

This Medora colourway combines 56% Cotton, 10% Linen, 10% Viscose, 8% Acrylic, 8% Wool, 6% Polyester and 2% Polyamide, giving it a settled mid-weight handle suited to both upholstery and drapery. The stripe pattern is broken up by fine geometric and zig-zag details, which read clearly in the image without feeling sharp or graphic. Genista Blue itself is cool and muted rather than bright, sitting between denim and slate with soft grey and cream notes throughout. At approximately 138cm wide with a vertical repeat of 41cm and horizontal repeat of 69cm, it is a practical patterned cloth for coordinated furnishings. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this subdued blue stripe to bring structure to a relaxed sitting room, especially on an armchair, bench or Roman blind. It pairs neatly with chalky whites, weathered oak and other quiet blue-grey textiles.

A quietly patterned blue stripe that works well on cushions, armchairs or tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
