About this fabric

This colourway of Medora feels airy and slightly chalky, with the aqua ground sitting in a pale blue-green register that is cooled by plenty of light ground showing through. The small, irregular brownish lines create a lively all-over texture and keep the design from reading flat. With a width of approximately 140cm and a composition of 63% viscose, 21% acrylic and 16% cotton, it has the look of a versatile decorative cloth rather than a heavy upholstery textile. The repeat is approximately V 24cm and H 18cm, so the pattern has enough movement to be noticed on larger pieces while still feeling controlled.

How to use it

Use Kemble Aqua to lift a neutral room with a washed coastal note, especially alongside pale oak, linen and warm stone tones. Its cool aqua and tiny tan detail suit relaxed chairs, cushion covers or curtains where you want colour without heaviness.

A fresh aqua ground with a softly broken pattern that works well on tailored upholstery or airy curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
