Durance Sand

Olney FabricF4950-06

Durance Sand is a softly textured neutral with a gentle sandy warmth and a fine horizontal weave. The surface reads calm and understated, with just enough grain to keep the colourway from feeling flat.

About this fabric

This colourway has a light beige base with a warm, sun-baked undertone that feels more sand than ivory. The closely woven texture gives the face a quiet striation, and the small tonal shifts catch the light without creating a visible pattern, which suits the repeat being 0cm vertically and horizontally. Woven in 60% viscose, 18% cotton, 17% linen and 5% acrylic, it has the balanced handle expected of a versatile furnishing fabric. At approximately 143cm wide, it is practical for both upholstery and drapery where a relaxed neutral is needed. The Q 8 < T 3 care code and √BM fire code add useful specification detail for project planning.

How to use it

Use Durance Sand to soften a room with oak, limestone and pale timber, where its muted warmth will sit naturally rather than dominate. It also works well as a quiet curtain or blind cloth in interiors that need a calm, sunlit backdrop.

A warm neutral that works beautifully across upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
