Rosmar Indigo

Shelley FabricJ0108-14

Rosmar Indigo reads as a cool, softly muted grey with a lilac cast, woven into a tight, tactile surface. The small-scale texture gives the colourway a gentle heathered depth rather than a flat solid finish.

About this fabric

This Shelley fabric by Jane Churchill is a versatile textile with a 140cm approx width and a composition of 31% Linen, 18% Wool, 16% Polyester, 13% Viscose, 13% Cotton and 9% Polyamide. The cloth has a compact, visibly textural weave with a softly dappled surface that lets the pale indigo-grey yarns catch the light. With a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm approx, it presents as a clean non-patterned look rather than a printed design. The overall effect is cool, restrained and slightly chalky, with the linen and wool content giving the face a natural, lightly nubby hand.

How to use it

Use Rosmar Indigo where you want a calm, tailored neutral with a hint of colour; it would sit well on a sofa, banquette or ottoman against pale plaster, oak or brushed metal. The cool lilac-grey tone also makes a refined backdrop for crisp white or inky navy accents.

A cool grey-lilac neutral that works well on both tailored upholstery and understated curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
