About this fabric

Printed on a 136cm wide cloth, Vita Blue from the Jane Churchill Vita collection is composed of 82% viscose and 18% linen. The surface reads as a softly textured textile rather than a flat print, which suits the loose, brushy character of the large floral repeat. In this colourway the blues are cool and gently muted, ranging from misty sky tones to deeper denim and indigo accents, with fresh green foliage and pale neutral ground keeping the design open and bright. The vertical repeat of approximately 67cm gives the flowers room to breathe, making the pattern feel expansive and decorative without becoming heavy.

How to use it

Use Vita Blue for curtains or relaxed blinds where the soft blue florals can catch daylight and keep a room feeling fresh. It works especially well with painted whitework, pale oak and sage accents, or as a gentle counterpoint to deeper blue upholstery.

Layer with chalky neutrals and washed wood to let the painterly blue florals stay fresh.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Vita Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
