Nemus Indigo shows a richly layered botanical trail on a deep indigo-teal ground, with the foliage picked out in softened green and pale dotted detail. The design reads lively yet grounded, giving the swatch a moody, immersive feel.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied at approximately 124cm wide and has a vertical repeat of about 38cm with a horizontal repeat of about 124cm, so the motif is designed to flow in a considered, all-over pattern. The composition of 34% cotton, 30% linen, 21% polyester and 15% viscose gives the surface a woven, natural look with a slightly soft handle. In this colourway, the dark blue-green background makes the leaf forms feel crisp and decorative, while the lighter botanical strokes and dotting keep the pattern from becoming too heavy. The result is a smart, textural fabric that brings depth without looking stark.

How to use it

Use Nemus Indigo on a tailored armchair, banquette or cushions where the dark ground can anchor the room. It also works well for lined curtains, especially with timber, brass or aged-metal finishes that suit its cool teal-blue depth.

Use it for elegant upholstery or lined drapery where the dark ground can set off the leaf motif.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
