Tambour Blue
Vita FabricJ0095-02
Tambour Blue presents a neat leaf-like repeat in softened blue and sage tones on a pale ground. The pattern feels airy and orderly, with just enough colour contrast to read clearly without dominating a room.

About this fabric
Tambour Blue from the Vita collection by Jane Churchill is woven in a 60% linen, 40% viscose blend, giving the cloth a refined, lightly textured finish with a smooth enough surface for versatile use. The design shows a medium-scale, stylised leaf motif set out across a pale ivory ground, with alternating bands of soft blue and muted sage that keep the overall effect fresh rather than bold. Its 129cm approximate width and repeat of V 39cm / H 43cm approx make it practical for tailored furnishing schemes. The colourway has a cool, calm character, and the linen-viscose mix helps the blue sit softly rather than sharply against the background.
How to use it
This colourway works beautifully in rooms that need a little pattern but still want a light, composed feel. Pair it with chalky paint, pale oak and brushed nickel for a fresh scheme, or use it on relaxed curtains and occasional chairs to echo the soft blue notes.
Use for elegant upholstery or lined drapery where the gentle blue tones can add calm pattern without feeling heavy.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Tambour Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
