Tambour Red

Vita FabricJ0095-03

Tambour Red shows a crisp, repeated leaf motif set against a soft natural ground, with the pattern reading cleanly and evenly across the swatch. The red, pink and coral accents feel lively rather than heavy, giving the design a bright tailored character.

About this fabric

This Jane Churchill Vita fabric is woven in 60% linen and 40% viscose, with an approximate width of 129cm and a repeat of V 39cm / H 43cm. The ground has a pale flax or oatmeal look, which lets the leaf-shaped motif stand out in alternating shades of tambour red, blush pink, coral and a light cream highlight. The surface appears matte with the slight softness you would expect from linen blended with viscose, so the colour reads clear but not glossy. Its medium-scale repeat and balanced handle make it suitable for both upholstery and drapery applications, depending on the scheme. Q 8 + W 3 care and √BM fire code are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use it on a small armchair, cushions or relaxed curtains where the warm red pattern can lift a neutral room without overpowering it. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky paint colours and other soft natural textures.

A fresh linen-viscose weave that brings a tailored, decorative lift to upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
