EXT2539

Extravaganza FabricEXT2539

EXT2539 presents a softly luminous velvet in pale taupe, ivory and cool greige. Its close-set broken vertical striations create a quietly graphic surface, with the pile catching the light in fine linear highlights.

About this fabric

This velvet is composed of 48% polyester, 48% viscose and 4% cotton, with a 138cm width for upholstery applications. The design is formed from irregular vertical blocks and slender lines, layered in ivory, stone, taupe and muted grey rather than a single flat stripe. Its softly reflective surface gives the pale colourway gentle depth, while the fine ribbed appearance keeps the pattern composed and architectural. Rated for contract and domestic upholstery, it has domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade; professional aftercare is required.

How to use it

Pair this pale taupe-and-ivory colourway with chalky walls, light oak and brushed metal for an airy, tailored scheme. Its broken vertical rhythm is especially effective on modern armchairs, headboards and softly shaped sofas.

Use this pale taupe and ivory velvet to bring softly patterned texture to contemporary or classic upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside EXT2539 without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
