About this fabric

The 138cm-wide velvet combines 48% polyester, 48% viscose and 4% cotton. Its pattern is formed from narrow vertical lines and interrupted blocks, with saturated red providing the strongest contrast against the cool grey and white ground, while orange adds warmth. The fabric is graded for both contract and domestic upholstery, making it suitable for seating where this energetic stripe can be shown across a larger surface. Aftercare is professional; it meets Domestic Cig & Match requirements and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use EXT2540 on a statement armchair, banquette or occasional seat where its red-and-orange accents can energise a neutral room. Pair the cool grey and white threads with pale stone, charcoal or warm timber, keeping surrounding patterns restrained.

Use this lively broken stripe to add graphic colour and vertical movement to upholstered seating, balanced with quiet neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
