Quetzal Violet

Mythica Wallcoverings WallpaperCCW0152-04

Quetzal Violet brings a dark, saturated violet-navy ground to a fantastical scene of scarlet birds, exotic plumage, curling tendrils and tiny botanical details. The dense illustration feels especially vivid where coral, orange, pink and pale blue accents catch against the shadowed background.

About this fabric

This 130 gsm wallpaper is printed with an intricate menagerie of long-tailed birds, perched songbirds, feathers, flowers and curling foliage across a deep violet-navy ground. Scarlet and rust birds provide the strongest warmth, while blush pink, pale lilac, turquoise and cream details add jewel-like flashes throughout the design. With a 52 cm usable width and a 50.9 cm vertical pattern repeat, the composition has a pronounced, large-scale presence on the wall. The 10.05 m standard length is suited to planning a continuous installation around this richly populated repeat.

How to use it

Pair Quetzal Violet with warm walnut, aged brass and rust or coral accents to draw out the wallpaper’s warm plumage against its cool, shadowy ground. In a smaller room, use it on one feature wall so the dense birds and botanical trails become the main decorative focus.

Use this richly illustrated violet wallpaper as a dramatic backdrop in a study, dining room or eclectic sitting room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Quetzal Violet without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
