About this fabric

This 340gsm velvet has a richly saturated wine ground that reads almost plum in the darker areas, allowing the orange-red animals and turquoise accents to stand out sharply. The large-scale scene includes two facing elephants, a leopard’s spotted body, a rainbow and detailed leaves, flowers and insects. Its 54.9cm vertical repeat and 69cm horizontal repeat preserve the theatrical composition across the 138cm usable width. The 40m standard length is suited to planning coordinated upholstery cuts for a bold, continuous design.

How to use it

Use this deep wine colourway on a statement chair, sofa or ottoman where its warm orange animals and turquoise highlights can anchor an eclectic room. Balance the busy repeat with plain upholstery companions in charcoal, tobacco, dark teal or warm cream.

A richly illustrated wine velvet for statement upholstery, combining fiery orange animals with intricate botanical detail.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Zambezi Velvet Wine without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
