Porter & Stone

Mistral Sapphire

Misc Fabric

Mistral Sapphire shows a tight all-over geometric pattern in a deep blue-green ground, lifted by fine metallic glints in the weave. The effect is dark and crisp, with the motif reading clearly against the shadowy background.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is woven in 95% polyester and 5% lurex, with a 140cm width and an 18cm pattern repeat. The surface has a matte-dark base with subtle sheen from the lurex, so the geometric motifs catch the light without looking flashy. In this colourway, the blue leans toward teal rather than navy, giving the design a cool, mineral depth. It feels tailored and contemporary, with enough body for practical domestic use across both upholstery and drapery applications.

How to use it

Use Mistral Sapphire on a compact armchair, ottoman, or lined curtains where the dark ground and metallic fleck can bring contrast without overwhelming the room. It works especially well with warm wood, blackened metal, and quiet neutrals.

Pair with pale oak, ink, or brushed brass for a sharp but usable finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
