About this fabric

Woven in 50% polyester and 50% cotton, this fabric has a practical mid-weight feel that works well for both upholstery and drapery. The stripe repeat is 0cm, so the design reads as a clean, uninterrupted vertical rhythm rather than a matched pattern. In this colourway, the aubergine ground is lifted by softer plum and dusty mauve stripes, creating depth without looking overly bright. The overall effect is smart and composed, with enough texture to stop the dark purple palette from feeling flat. It is supplied at 140cm wide, making it straightforward to work into cushions, chairs or curtains.

How to use it

This aubergine stripe works especially well with walnut wood, antiqued brass and warm neutral linens, where its richer purple notes can anchor the scheme. In a room with low evening light, the darker bands deepen beautifully and add a tailored, heritage feel.

Use it to bring a tailored, characterful edge to classic seating or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
