Misc Fabric

St Michel Stripe Charcoal is a clean, graphic stripe with a cool charcoal tone set against a soft ivory ground. The contrast is sharp but not harsh, giving the fabric a composed, tailored look.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton and measuring 140cm wide, this fabric has no pattern repeat, which suits the regular rhythm of its stripe layout. The charcoal bands read as a cool grey rather than a black, so the overall effect stays light and restrained. Between the wider blocks are fine pinstripes that add structure and keep the design feeling crisp. The cotton surface gives the stripes a natural matte finish, making the colourway feel polished without looking glossy.

How to use it

Use this colourway on tailored cushions, a bench seat or relaxed curtains where the charcoal stripes can bring order to a pale room. It works especially well with pale oak, white paint and brushed metal accents.

A crisp charcoal stripe on ivory cotton that feels neat and versatile.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside St Michel Stripe Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
