About this fabric

From Porter & Stone’s Plains & Semi Plains collection, this fabric is a 100% polyester velvet with a 140cm width and a 0cm pattern repeat. The surface has a gently worn, brushed look rather than a high gloss, which keeps the taupe feeling grounded and usable. In this colourway the shade reads as a warm, earthy neutral with smoky brown undertones and a slightly darker nap that adds movement across the cloth. It is an easy choice when you want the richness of velvet without a bright or jewel-like finish.

How to use it

Use this taupe velvet on a sofa, armchair or ottoman where its muted depth can sit alongside oak, walnut and textured linens. It also works well with pale stone, charcoal or aged brass for a calm, tailored scheme.
