About this fabric

This velvet from the Provence collection is made from 100% recycled polyester and has a width of 140cm, with no pattern repeat to interrupt the colour. The pile catches the light gently, so the shade shifts from a fuller teal-leaning blue in shadow to a brighter, cleaner blue where the velvet lifts. Its plain finish keeps the focus on the depth of the colour and the tactile softness of the surface, making it feel measured rather than showy. Care is NQT1<, and the cloth is best chosen when you want a smart, contemporary blue with a calm, upholstered look.

How to use it

Pair this French blue with pale oak, chalk white or brushed brass for a crisp, tailored scheme. It works especially well on an occasional chair, headboard or neat scatter cushions where the colour can stay the star.
