About this fabric

This colourway from the Shimmer FR collection is woven in 95% polyester and 5% lurex, with a 140cm width and a 24cm vertical repeat. The surface reads as a dense indigo ground threaded with fine copper highlights, so the pattern feels crisp rather than soft or blurred. In the image, the darker motif creates strong contrast and gives the fabric a night-sky depth, while the lurex adds just enough glint to lift the finish. It feels smart and decorative, with enough structure in the weave to suit both upholstery and drapery uses.

How to use it

Use Babylon FR Indigo on a chair, ottoman or relaxed curtain panel where the dark blue base can anchor a scheme. It pairs especially well with walnut, brass and pale plaster tones, which let the metallic flecks stand out.
