About this fabric

This colourway of Babylon FR Shimmer FR is grounded in dark elephant brown with lighter taupe highlights that catch the light and lift the surface pattern. The 95% polyester and 5% lurex composition gives it a restrained shimmer rather than a high shine, so the design feels textured and refined. At 140cm wide with a 24cm vertical repeat, it works well where a directional, woven look is wanted without overpowering a scheme. The finish reads smart and understated, with enough depth to sit comfortably in both modern and classic interiors.

How to use it

Use Babylon FR Elephant on upholstered dining chairs, a headboard, or tailored curtains where the brown base can warm timber and leather. It sits especially well beside cream linen, smoked oak, and brushed brass.

Pair with warm neutrals and matte woods to balance the subtle shimmer.
