About this fabric

Babylon FR Rosso from Porter & Stone’s Shimmer FR collection is a fabric with a 140cm width and a 24cm vertical repeat, woven in 95% polyester and 5% lurex. In this colourway, the pattern reads as a dark ruby base threaded with antique-gold shimmer, creating a warm, low-gloss metallic effect rather than a bright shine. The small-scale motif has a dense, tailored feel, and the repeated leaf-like forms give the surface movement without becoming busy. It is a strong choice when you want depth, texture and a little sparkle in a scheme.

How to use it

Use it on statement armchairs, banquet seating or cushions where the red-gold contrast can be seen up close. It also brings a handsome, jewel-box feel to curtains in darker, moodier interiors.

A rich jewel-toned fabric that adds warmth and a subtle metallic lift to both seating and curtains.
