About this fabric

This substantial 650 gsm woven fabric has a warm beige-oatmeal base overlaid with broken taupe striations and fine horizontal intersections. Its irregular vertical texture is measured with a 16.5 cm vertical repeat and a 1.7 cm horizontal repeat, creating a gently gridded effect rather than a rigid check. With 45 threads per cm and a 140 cm useable width, it offers a dense, tactile surface well suited to upholstery. The low-contrast colouring keeps the pattern composed, while the darker taupe threads add enough depth to prevent the oatmeal tone from appearing flat.

How to use it

Use Osamu Oatmeal on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its warm beige depth can balance pale walls and natural timber. Echo the taupe striations with stone, mushroom or muted brown accents for a softly coordinated scheme.

Use the warm oatmeal ground and taupe striations to soften tailored upholstery alongside timber, chalk and stone tones.
