Melodic French Ochre/Paper Lantern

Colour 2 Fabrics FabricHAF0456-03

Melodic French Ochre/Paper Lantern pairs a pale Paper Lantern ground with densely drawn, maze-like lines in a warm ochre brown. The high-contrast linear pattern gives the swatch a graphic, hand-drawn energy while retaining a softly sunlit character.

About this fabric

The abstract linework shifts between angular bends, hooked turns and irregular enclosed shapes, creating a medium-scale pattern with plenty of visual movement. Its warm ochre tone reads earthy and gently muted against the creamy Paper Lantern background rather than bright yellow. The fabric has a 218 gsm weight and 38 threads per cm, with a 139.5 cm usable width. A 91 cm vertical repeat and 139.5 cm horizontal repeat allow the geometric layout to be considered clearly across wider applications.

How to use it

Use this warm ochre and pale-ground colourway to add graphic focus to a neutral sitting room, reading nook or relaxed dining space. It can bring definition to an upholstered chair or sofa while also working as patterned drapery against cream, tan or natural wood tones.

Warm ochre linear geometry brings graphic definition to upholstery, curtains and other coordinated interior applications.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
