Melodic Japanese Ink/Origami
Colour 2 Fabrics FabricHAF0456-01
Melodic Japanese Ink/Origami places cool, dark ink-blue lines over a pale cream ground. Its tightly arranged angular strokes form a crisp, maze-like geometric surface with strong visual movement.

About this fabric
The dark blue linework has an ink-like depth against the warm cream background, while the irregular folded shapes keep the overall field lively and directional. At 218 gsm and 139.5 cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight textile for upholstery or drapery. The 91 cm vertical repeat and 139.5 cm horizontal repeat create a broad, clearly structured pattern rhythm. A supplied construction of 38 threads per cm adds useful detail to the fabric specification, with a standard length of 60 m.
How to use it
Use this cool ink-blue and cream colourway to sharpen a neutral sitting room, pairing it with dark timber, chalky walls or plain cream upholstery. The directional repeat is well suited to statement cushions, occasional chairs or curtains where the maze-like geometry can be read clearly.
Pair the cream ground and cool ink-blue lines with tailored upholstery or relaxed full-length curtains.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Melodic Japanese Ink/Origami without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
