Freya Maize

Freya FabricLF2134

Freya Maize has a softly weathered maize-tan ground, woven with fine cream and brown flecks that give the surface quiet depth. Its close, irregular weave reads as a natural semi-plain rather than a printed pattern.

About this fabric

The 137cm-wide cloth combines 30% linen, 19% wool, 19% polyester, 15% cotton, 12% viscose and 5% nylon. Up close, the warm tan base is broken by pale slubs and darker threads, creating a lightly crosshatched texture with understated tonal movement. Rated for Contract and General Domestic upholstery, it is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery, with loose-cover upholstery also included in the supplied tags. After-care is dry clean.

How to use it

Use Freya Maize to warm a tailored armchair, sofa or headboard, or make relaxed curtains where its golden tan tone can pick up natural wood, oatmeal upholstery and aged brass. The small-scale weave works particularly well as a calm textural layer alongside stronger patterns.

A warm, natural-looking woven neutral that brings gentle texture to upholstery, curtains and relaxed interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
