Helter Skelter Fabric001

Helter Skelter Umber combines a deep, warm brown ground with pale blue-grey winding lines and repeated cream-tan leaf forms. The softly mottled surface gives the bold pattern a tactile, velvety depth.

About this fabric

This large-scale geometric pattern is formed from vertical, curling bands edged with pointed leaf-like shapes, creating a rhythmic ogee effect across the cloth. The umber brown reads earthy and enveloping, while the cool blue-grey lines and muted cream highlights bring definition without making the colourway feel bright. Made from 88% polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, it is listed for curtains and fixed upholstery at approximately 137cm wide. The design has a 46cm half drop, and care instructions specify delicate washing at 30°C, dry cleaning or careful sponging.

How to use it

Use Helter Skelter Umber on a statement armchair, sofa or full-length curtain where its deep brown ground can add warmth and visual weight. Echo the pale blue-grey tracery with painted cabinetry, cushions or ceramics, and keep surrounding finishes in chalky cream and natural timber.

Use the warm umber ground to anchor rooms with cream, stone, aged wood and muted blue-grey accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Helter Skelter Umber without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
