Yew & Aril Sage

Little Book of Morris Fabrics FabricMOF0202-01

Yew & Aril Sage settles into a pale, cool sage green, covered with closely spaced fine botanical strokes that create a softly textured, almost etched appearance. The light motif remains delicate against the muted ground rather than forming a bold contrast.

About this fabric

The fabric’s 275 gsm weight and 138 cm usable width make this a versatile mid-weight choice for upholstery and drapery. Fine pale leaf- or twig-like marks repeat densely across the sage surface, giving the design a calm, layered rhythm at close range. Its vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are both 46 cm, so the small-scale impression comes from the fine internal marks rather than a large isolated motif. A specification of 35 threads per cm supports the finely detailed look visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Pair the cool sage tone with chalky whites, pale oak and softly weathered neutrals for a light, botanical room scheme. Used on a chair, blind or relaxed curtain, the dense fine pattern adds detail without overwhelming the space.

Use this quietly patterned sage ground to bring a cool, softly decorative note to upholstery, curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
