Yew & Aril Seagreen

Little Book of Morris Fabrics FabricMOF0202-02

Yew & Aril Seagreen is a densely drawn botanical fabric in a cool, softened seagreen. Fine pale sprigs and leaf-like marks form an intricate all-over surface, giving the colourway a lightly textured, layered appearance.

About this fabric

The muted grey-green ground has a calm, cool depth, while the delicate pale motif catches the light as a fine network of branching stems and small leaves. Its closely spaced pattern reads as detailed at nearer range and softly mottled from farther away. At 275gsm and 138cm wide, this fabric is a practical mid-weight choice for both upholstery and drapery. The design has a 46cm vertical and 46cm horizontal repeat, with a compact woven appearance consistent with its supplied 35 threads per centimetre specification.

How to use it

Use the cool seagreen on a reading chair, bench or tailored curtains alongside chalky whites, weathered timber and soft grey-green paint. Its small-scale botanical detail also suits cushions and blinds where a close-up view can show the pale leaf work.

A versatile mid-weight botanical fabric for upholstered seating, cushions, blinds and curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Yew & Aril Seagreen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
