About this fabric

This Morris & Co. fabric has a usable width of 137 cm and a 230 gsm weight, giving the cloth enough substance for both upholstery and drapery applications. The small leafy motif repeats every 23 cm vertically and 13.5 cm horizontally, forming an almost all-over pattern across the swatch. In this Woad colourway, the blue reads muted and chalky rather than saturated, with the pale ground allowing the curling foliage to remain light and airy. A specification of 36.2 threads per cm corresponds with the closely textured appearance visible in the image.

How to use it

Use the cool Woad blue to soften a bedroom blind, relaxed curtain or occasional chair, pairing it with warm ivory, weathered timber and quiet blue-grey accents. Its small-scale foliage is also well suited to cushions and coordinated trim where the detailed repeat can be seen up close.
