Yew & Aril Mineral Blue

Little Book of Morris Fabrics FabricMOF0202-03

Yew & Aril Mineral Blue pairs a cool, misted blue-grey ground with a dense scatter of fine botanical marks. In the swatch, pale threads soften the contrast so the small repeat reads airy and quietly textured rather than bold.

About this fabric

Yew & Aril is shown here as a pale mineral blue ground densely flecked with fine, pale leaf-like marks and curling botanical strokes. The cool blue-grey tone stays soft rather than saturated, while the closely woven surface gives the small-scale pattern a gently textured, chalky read. At 275 gsm and 138 cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight textile for upholstery or drapery. Its 46 cm vertical and horizontal repeat keeps the motif rhythm compact across a larger cut.

How to use it

Use this cool mineral blue-grey colourway on relaxed seating, occasional chairs or full-length curtains where its fine botanical pattern can add detail without dominating the room. Balance it with chalky whites, pale timber and other quiet blue-grey accents.

Pair its cool mineral-blue tone with pale woods, soft whites and brushed metal for a calm, finely patterned scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
